Drishyam 3: Ajay Devgn, Tabu & Akshaye Khanna Reunite as Makers Finalise Remake Agreement; Release Set for 2026
Drishyam 3 is all set to release on October 2, 2026. Ajay Devgn will be repeating his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, along with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, and Akshaye Khanna. The movie is written and directed by Abhishek Pathak. The story compositions done by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
The film Drishyam 3 has been remade totally. The original film was of Mohanlal which was a classic Malayalam suspense thriller. The second part of it came on OTT, but Ajay Devgan released it in theatres and earned Rs 350 crores. The makers of the original film were insisting on releasing the Hindi version of their film.
The story of Drishyam 3 has been in the making for a long time. The original makers of the film said that they will bring back part 3 with the same actors and will blow people’s minds. Here Ajay Devgan had thought if the original film makers do not give the remake rights, then he will write his own film and release it with the title Drishyam 3. The movie will be released in the cinema on October 2, 2026.
An agreement has been reached between the original and remake teams. The original film makers had prepared the story and they started shooting Drishyam 3 with Mohanlal in October. This story was offered to ajay Devgan and his team and they started shooting for the film.
Drishyam 3 theatrical release will be 11 years after the original Hindi film’s debut.
