They Call Him OG Movie Review: Style, Swagger, and a Storm of Stories

They Call Him OG is directed by Sujeeth. The stars in the movie are It was released in theaters on September 25, 2025, and began streaming on Netflix on October 23, 2025.  

Even though the theatre certificate stated OG Telugu with English subtitles, the movie did not have subtitles. It is a gangster-based crime drama movie. The Telugu audience is celebrating this movie as fans. Pawan Kalyan has allured the viewers with his acting skills.

After watching the movie, you will get to see a bit of KGF, a little bit of Salaar, and a little bit of Pushpa. Pawan Kalyan has made Deadpool’s Katana action scenes fail. He is a master of katana fight skills in the movie. It’s Pawan Kalyan’s aura that makes even bullets stop by to see his face. There are multiple stories within the film, which makes it difficult to find the original story. The BGM is by Thaman, and in some places it is very good. There is an interval scene, and just after the interval, there is a police station scene, which was the best elevated scene in the movie, in which aggression and fight if portrayed.

The action sequences lack a realistic feeling.

Overall, OG is a typical gangster drama in which, despite having a backstory and present timeline spanning 15–20 years, the hero’s face remains unchanged. To say that this movie is made by a fanboy of the leading man of this film would be an understatement.
