Achyut Potdar Passes Away at 91

Actor Achyut Potdar, known for his role in ‘3 Idiots’, has passed away

Achyut Potdar, popular for his role in ‘3 Idiots’, passed away at 91. He breathed his last at Jupiter Hospital in Thane, where he had been admitted with health complications.

The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed; however, age-related issues are being cited. His funeral will be held in Thane on August 19. He is also famous for his roles in ‘Aakroh’ and ‘Parinda’.

His iconic dialogue from ‘3 idiots’ gained attention through social media platforms. He played the role of a professor in 3 idiots. He took his last breath on Monday, 18th August.

He acted in 125 films and 100 TV serials. He passed away 3 days before his birthday. His death led to sadness in the glamour world. Because of his age, he was suffering from many health issues.

Veteran actor was famous for his iconic line “Arey bhai kehna kya chahte ho?” (What do you want to say?). From a professor to an Indian army officer to an Indian Oil executive to a cinema legend, a truly remarkable journey.

 He was a professor of economics, then joined the Army on the Emergency Commission, and later worked in Indian Oil until retirement. In Mumbai, he met Satyadev Dubey, did theatre, and debuted in films   ‘Akrosh’ and ‘Ardhasatya.’ Achyut Potdar always left his mark. His bits were often among the more memorable parts of the film.
