Mahakali is a Telugu movie by Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. It is also Akshaye Khanna’s Telugu debut. This movie is directed by Puja Kolluru. It is written by Prasanth Varma. The film’s first look was disclosed on 30 September 2025 at 10.08 am.

Mahakali is Akshaye Khanna’s upcoming movie in 2025, and its first look and first poster have finally been out. Akshay Khanna’s look in the poster is amazing.

In the poster, one can see that one of his eyes is white in colour. He has dreadlocks. He is playing the role of ‘Asuraguru Shukracharya’, which means the priest of demons and monsters.

In the poster, Akshaye Khanna has been showcased as a mystical-looking man with a white beard. His hair is tied up in a topknot. His eyes are glowing with a supernatural aura. On his forehead there are Hindu tilak lines. He is draped in a dhoti-like cloth, which gives him the appearance of a sage. It seems that his character is inspired by mythological depictions.

Mahakali has been inspired by the goddess Kali and her attributes. It showcases the fierce and compassionate nature of goddess Kali. The theme portrays a dark-skinned lead actress and redefines beauty standards in the Indian cinema. Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) third instalment is Mahakali, after the huge success of HanuMan.
