
End of an Era: Film Producer AVM Saravanan Laid to Rest as Industry Mourns His Legacy
AVM Saravanan played an integral role in the development of the Tamil film industry and gave many successful films created by famous directors passed away this morning due to old age. Fans express their deepest condolences. His body was kept as a memorial on the third floor of the AVM shooting hall.
Chief Minister MK Stalin has visited the body of film producer AVM Saravanan to pay his respects after he passed away. He paid homage to the body of AVM Saravanan.
AVM Saravanan was a well-known producer in the Tamil film industry. He took his last breath this morning at his residence in North Chennai due to ill health. His body was kept at AVM studios for the public and prominent figures from film industry to pay their respects. His relatives and many people from the film industry have been paying their respects. Arrangements are being made to cremate his body around 4 pm today.
Saravanan took over AVM Productions from his father in 1946 and steered it to produce timeless hits like Rajinikanth’s Sivaji, Suriya’s Ayan, and family classics such as Samsaram Adhu Minsaram. Known for his soft-spoken grace, he mentored young filmmakers and earned deep respect from stars like Vishal and industry voices who called him a titan. On Thursday, Rajinikanth, Suriya, and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin joined fans at AVM Studios in Vadapalani to pay homage before his funeral, honoring a legacy that shaped generations of cinema.
