Dhurandhar: A Gripping Spy Thriller That Redefines Brutality, Emotion, and Star Power

The action-thriller film Dhurandhar was directed by Aditya Dhar and released on December 5, 2025. The actors in this film includes Ranveer Singh as Ajay Sanya, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun.

Dhurandhar is Ranveer Singh’s come back film has been released in theatres. The film is more than three hours long. The movie had already created a lot of hype after its trailer was released.

Many scenes of the movie had to be re-shot, and the editing went on till the last moment due to censor cuts. The story is about a spy mission that takes place in Karachi. Hamza becomes a part of a gang during that mission and becomes its integral part. The first half of the movie is two hours. The scenes are so gripping and brutal that the film has crossed all limits of brutality.

The movie is made in such a way that the audience’s mind looks at each chapter of the movie from a new perspective. In each chapter of the movie, different characters are introduced. The chapter that portrays Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, the real-life Pakistani police officer, is the finest depiction in the entire story. Moreover, even the comedy comes with such charm that it leaves ripples of laughter across the audience. All lead actors have been given equal screen time. Rakesh Bedi plays the role of a politician. R. Madhavan looks dashing as Ajit Dowal.

Overall, Dhurandhar is Ranveer’s most raw, brutal, and intense performance till now. Each dialogue in the film has been written thoughtfully. The dialogues make the scene more interesting. Though the last climax part seems a bit stretched.
