Farhan Akhtar, Honey Irani & Zoya Light Up ‘Rock On With Farhan’ Episode

Honey Irani and Farhan Akhtar recently appeared together on an episode of Indian Idol Season 16. The episode, titled “Rock On With Farhan”, aired on Sony LIV on November 16, 2025.  Farhan’s sister Zoya Akhtar also gave her presence.

Farhan Akhtar new film has come 120 Bahadur. It is a story about the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Sino-Indian War, where 120 Indian soldiers of the Charlie Company, 13th Kumaon Regiment, fought against a vastly larger Chinese force. Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar gave their presence in Indian Idol on Sony Entertainment television. Screenwriter Honey Irani also came to Indian Idol as guest. She said that she felt proud of her son for the first time. She expressed that she did not know that her son was working on the script of his debut film.

Honey Irani said that she was sorry that she didn’t work together with Farhan Akhtar. And she hopes that this will change in the future. She also said sorry to Farhan Akhtar for beating him. She thinks that she couldn’t have asked for a better son.

Honey Irani told how Farhan was lost before directing his debut film Dil Chahta Hai. He became the eternal serenity of cinema and had a huge fan following after the script of Dil Chahta Hai film. Dil Chahta Hai film was about close friends who are separated after college due to their different approaches towards relationships. This movie was critically acclaimed and a box office success.

Overall, Farhan Akhtar added energy to the show with his enigmatic presence. The contestants sang melodious songs and gave excellent performances.
