Madharasi: Love, Action, and the Protagonist’s Inner Turmoil
The Tamil movie Madharasi has been running in theaters since 5 September. Dil Madharasi is in Hindi. The film is directed by A. R. Murugadoss. The star cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, and Biju Menon.
The story of the film revolves around a boy named Raghu, who struggles with mental issues stemming from his past, and has fallen in love. In the meantime, he gets a secret mission. Now, what is that mission? What does Raghu do in his personal life? What are his problems in love life? But what troubles Raghu so deeply that it sends the entire film on a roller-coaster ride? The plot and storyline of the movie appear promising in the trailer.
It is an action thriller movie, though the audience will get to see the love angle in the film for some time. As the narrative progresses, the romantic subplot becomes the focal point and is stretched through to the conclusion. At one point, the viewers connect with Raghu’s love and his mental state. But by the end, the movie doesn’t seem to end. There are many action scenes in the movie. Therefore, two stories run simultaneously. That is a secret mission and Raghu’s love, in which Raghu’s personal life is also added to the mission. The film could have been far more enjoyable had its runtime been kept in check.
In the beginning, the movie looks quite gripping. The turmoil within the protagonist’s mind has been shown with conviction. So it does not seem to be forceful. The action scenes of the film are quite good. The songs for the 2025 film Madharaasi were composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
