
Nupur Alankar: The Actress Who Chose the Path of Renunciation
Nupur Alankar is a popular TV actress who has worked in more than 155 television serials during her career. She has played roles in Shaktimaan, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann, Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, Reth, and Diya Aur Baati Hum. Nupur Alankar told Tele TalkIndia about her journey from being an actress to a ‘Sanyasi’.
Nupur Alankar told Tele TalkIndia that she has got this life after committing so many sins. She shares the struggles of her industry. She feels a lot of gratitude. She tells to go to the shelter once and surrender to God completely.
Nupur says that the transition from actress to Sanyasi was very smooth. She is not separated from her husband, and she is on good terms with her husband. But renunciation separates her from family life. She said that her husband did not marry again. Moreover, she never told her husband whether he should marry or not. She added that there are some things in spirituality that have to be kept secret. There are some feelings or experiences she cannot share with everyone. She never expected defeat in life. She was a fighter girl.
Nupur said that she was shattered by the sudden death of her sister. She remembers that there was serial called The Great Maratha in which she worked for the first time. She met her guru’s and they talked about taking her under their protection, initially her Gurudev had forbidden her from taking sanyas. She knew actress Utkarsha Naik from Jaipur itself. They had worked together at The Great Maratha. She got a lot of support from her. Farah Naaz also supported her. They also helped Nupur in her career. They guided her and helped her with any problem.
