ChatGPT Go Subscription Plan in India
ChatGPT has announced a new plan specifically for Indians. It comes at 4$ approximately or Rs 399/-. They have got a plus plan at $20 and a Pro plan at 200$. You can use the Indian UPI payment to make a payment.
A few months ago, OpenAI was in discussions with Reliance Industries and showed interest to expand their artificial intelligence offerings in India. A likelihood that the discussions involved a relationship between Reliance Jio and OpenAI to distribute ChatGPT.
OpenAI the American company is eyeing the potential of one billion internet consumer market. OpenAI has introduced a budget friendly plan in India called ChatGPT Go., priced at Rs 399/month.
With this move the company is aiming the AI market by making its service more accessible and affordable. An announcement was made by Nick Turly, OpenAI ‘s vice president and head of ChatGPT, on X: “We just launched ChatGPT Go in India, a new subscription tier that gives users in India more access to our most popular features: 10x higher message limits, 10x more image generations, 10x more file uploads, and 2x longer memory compared with our free tier. All for Rs. 399.”
This new tier is more cost-effective than OpenAI, other existing plans. The top-tier version costs Rs 19,900 / month in India, while the mid-range plan costs Rs 1999/ month. The users in India can now access to their most popular features.
What is included in the free plan of ChatGPT Go:
- An extended access to GPT-5 to enjoy the usage of the flagship model.
- An extended access to image generation to create images for personal use or work.
- Users get extended access to file uploads, by which they can work with more documents, spreadsheets, etc.
- Enhanced access to advanced data analysis. Users can now use tools like Python for data exploration and problem-solving more frequently.
- Enhanced memory for responses that feel more relevant, which allows continuous conversations with a larger context window.
- Opportunity to work on projects, tasks, and custom GPs: Users can organize work, track progress, and build personalized AI tools with more flexibility.
The user needs to log in to ChatGPT, click on their profile icon, then on settings, and then select subscription. Currently, it does not support annual billing or the option to pay for multiple months. Access to connectors and Sora is not included. Users in India can use the subscription with WhatsApp. It does not include access to legacy models like GPT-40. There are no connectors for third-party integrations.
