Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda Passes Away at 35 After 12 Days on Ventilator

Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, aged 35 has passed away. He was fighting for life as he was on a ventilator for the past 12 days. Rajvir Jawanda took his last breath at 10.55 am on 8 October 2025. A few days ago, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Fortis Hospital in Mohalito inquire about the health of famous Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda.

Rajvir was in a critical condition after sustaining severe head and spinal injuries in a motorcycle accident on September 27 near Baddi in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The crash occurred when stray bulls forced him to swerve while riding toward Chandigarh, leading to his airlift to Fortis Hospital in Mohali, where he remained on a ventilator for 11 days.

The security outside Fortis Mohali hospital has increased. His last ritual rites will be performed at Jagroan. Gurpreet Ghuggi and other famous actors have expressed sorrow at the singer’s death. Family and friends were hoping that Rajvir Jawanda would recover.

Tributes from celebrities like Harbhajan Singh and politicians, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, poured in, as the incident underscores ongoing road safety challenges from stray animals and poor infrastructure in India.

President Indian National Congress, Punjab, wrote on X, “Saddened by the passing away of Rajvir Jaivanda ji. We all prayed for his speedy recovery, but sadly god had other plans. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fans who are shattered with this tragic loss. May Waheguru grant eternal peace to the departed soul and give strength to his loved ones to bear this tragic loss. RIP.”
