Television Mourns: Child Actor Veer Sharma and Brother Shaurya Lost in Kota Fire Tragedy

A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken the world of television. Child actor Veer Sharma, aged just 10, and his 15-year-old brother Shaurya tragically lost their lives in a devastating fire late Saturday night, 27 September in

Kota Rajasthan.

The incident occurred at the Deep Shri multi-story in Anandpura, Kota. The fire broke out on the fourth floor, where the two boys were alone at the time. Their father, Jitendra Sharma a faculty member at a coaching institute, was away at an event while their mother, Rita Sharma, was in Mumbai for work. Vir has won hearts with his roles in shows like Shrimad Ramayan and Vir Hanuman, where he played young Lakshman. He has also been cast to play the childhood version of actor Saif Ali Khan in an upcoming film. He was all set make his big screen debut alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. He had even shared a joyful moment posing with Jaideep and casting director Mukesh Chabra.

Veer’s elder brother Shaurya Sharma was just 15 and was preparing for the IIT entrance examination full of dreams, dedication, and a bright future ahead. The boys were the sons of actress Rita Sharma known for her roles in web series and films, like Crash Course and Crimes and Confessions. According to the police, the children died from suffocation caused by thick smoke. Neighbours saw smoke coming from the apartment and broke open the door, pulling both boys out. Sadly, they were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

A young star and a bright student gone far too soon. The loss of Veer and Shaurya Sharma has left their family, fans, and the entertainment world in deep sorrow.
